Launch of the Project CAVACH (Covid 19 and Vaccination Awareness Campaign for Health) on 15th July 2021
During the unprecedented times of COVID-19, NSE Group and the Foundation have responded through contribution to funds such as PMCARES and the CM relief funds of various States. In addition, large scale distribution of food and ration kits to vulnerable communities such as ragpickers, migrants, CSWs, tribal populations etc., supply of critical equipment including oxygen concentrators, bi pap machines, oxygen cylinders, dialysis machines, haematology analysers, digital x-ray machines, oxygen plants amongst other equipment to government and other charitable hospitals catering to the disadvantaged sections were also undertaken.
In response to the call to action by the Hon. Prime Minister and subsequently the National Disaster Management Agency, NSE Foundation has mobilised around 35 + NGO partners, to address the issues of vaccine hesitancy, resistance and facilitation ensuring the maximum penetration of the vaccination efforts of the Government as a preparedness for future rise in COVID infections. Project CAVACH is designed to create awareness, register the citizens, and facilitate the process to ensure vaccination in close coordination with the district administration across five aspirational districts of Karauli (Rajasthan), Ramanathapuram (Tamil Nadu), Nandurbar (Maharashtra), Kiphire (Nagaland) and Osmanabad (Maharashtra). The vaccine readiness program will be rolled out in three phases i.e. Pre vaccination, During Vaccination and Post vaccination and will include help line, mass messaging campaigns, logistics, registration of participants on COWIN etc.
